Chocolate Wine?!

I have decided I want to start doing reviews on my blog.  I want to try to do a review every Thursday.  I want to think of a clever name to call this series but I’m not quite sure what?! Any ideas? Anybody? Bueller?

Anyways, I tried a product in the beginning of January.  It was a wine, but it wasn’t any average type of wine.  It was sort of an adult chocolate milk.

I tried this interesting product.

It is the CV Brand Chocolate Wine.  It comes in Chocolate, CV Mint Chocolate, and CV Cherry Royale.  I have now tried the chocolate and the mint chocolate.  I am not a huge fan of either of them to be totally honest with you.  It basically tastes like regular chocolate milk and like you poured some kind of whiskey or other strong alcohol in it.  I will say I’m impressed that they were able to blend red wine, chocolate, and cream into one bottle and make sure it didn’t curdle.  It wasn’t until I started experimenting with making this into a mixed drink that I really started to enjoy it.  I was able to make one very delicious cocktail from experimenting with this (a strong one at that) 🙂

Grashopper Pie-Tini

1 oz Whipped Cream Vodka

2 oz CV Chocolate Mint Wine

1 oz Creme de Menthe Liqueur

Crushed Oreo Cookies (Without the cream, just the cookie part)

Chocolate Syrup

1. Dip the rim of the glass into the chocolate syrup, then dip that into the oreo cookie crumbs

2. Put the whipped cream vodka, the CV mint wine, and the creme de menthe liqueur into a cocktail shaker with ice.

3. Shake Vigorously and then strain into martini glass.

If I really want a cocktail that I can nurse for awhile then I will definitely choose this one! It’s rich, minty, and chocolately! I love it!

What is your favorite kind of cocktail?
